London Olympian, Thanh, beat strong rivals from the hosts to score 14,925 points to take gold medal in the women's vault.
This is the second time the Vietnamese athlete has taken the gold medal in her favourite discipline in this event.
The Hai Phong City-born girl also won a bronze medal in the balance beam after scoring 12,950 points.
Thanh bagged a gold medal in the fifth Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in China in November.-VNA
