Hanoi, Amsterdam expand cooperation

Chairwomanof the Hanoi’s People’s Committee Ngo Thi Doan Thanh made the statementduring a meeting with an Amsterdam delegation led by Mayor Eberhard Vande Laan in Hanoi on December 9.

She spoke of the current Hanoivisit with a various activities such as workshops, meetings withstudents and workers in industrial zones where Dutch people work.

Onhis part, the Mayor said his city wishes to bolster ties with Hanoiwith specific projects such as opening a Hanoi-Amsterdam air route,which helps shorten distance between the two capital cities.

TheAmsterdam delegation is on a working visit to Hanoi from December 8-11.It is scheduled to meet with representatives from the Civil AviationAuthority of Vietnam (CAAV), the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlinesto discuss the launch of a Hanoi-Amsterdam direct air route in thecoming time.-VNA

Vietnamese Vice President meets with Georgian leaders

Kavelashvili said Xuan's visit is expected to consolidate political trust, deepen mutual understanding and propel ties across all levels and sectors. Vietnam, Cambodia sign defence cooperation plan for 2027

Giang called on agencies and units of the two defence ministries to implement agreed cooperation programmes, focusing on political and ideological education to strengthen political trust, and cooperation between military services and arms. The two sides should step up coordination in border management and protection to build a Vietnam-Cambodia border of peace, cooperation and development.

Deputy PM visits China’s Tsinghua University, seeking closer educational cooperation

Tsinghua has worked to implement the Vietnamese and Chinese leaders’ orientations for higher education cooperation. Last year, it admitted 27 Vietnamese students and postgraduates, the highest number to date, all of whom received scholarships. The university also hosted the second Vietnam-China Higher Education Cooperation Forum, helping promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries’ educational institutions.
