The 7th International Conference of the Asian Society of AgriculturalEconomists (ASAE) will be held in Hanoi from October 13-15.
The conference, with the theme "Challenges Facing Asian Agriculture andAgricultural Economics Towards a Sustainable Future", will beco-organised by the ASAE and the Institute of Policy and Strategyfor Agricultural and Rural Development.
Attendees, whowill include agricultural economists, development practitioners, policymakers and academics from all over the world, will discuss ASEA's rolein assisting the region to raise incomes, reduce poverty and improvefood security.
The three-day workshop will be divided into seven sessions covering agricultural and rural development in Asian nations.
Topics will include food security, the development of Asianagricultural food markets, rural development in Asia and Vietnameseagricultural policy reforms.
The triennial ASAE International Conference was first held in 1990. /.
