Hanoi (VNA) – Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has affirmed that with its various advantages and potential, the city is willing to offer all possible support to Moroccan investors to access the Vietnamese market.
Chung made the confirmation during a meeting with Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam Azzeddine Ferhane in Hanoi on June 28.
The city’s leader approved the ambassador’s proposal to upgrade the Morocco Gate in Tan Linh commune in the outlying district of Ba Vi on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of bilateral Vietnam-Morocco diplomatic ties, considering it a symbol of close ties between the two countries.

Ferhane, for his part, said the two nations boast potential for cooperation in various fields as Vietnam is a gateway to ASEAN while Morocco is a gateway to Africa.
As the two capitals share a range of similarities, the ambassador hoped that Hanoi and Rabat could become twin cities in order to promote comprehensive relations.-VNA
