Hanoi seeks design assistance from Germany

Hanoi (VNA) – Chairmanof the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has asked for design assistancefrom Germany for the National Exhibition and Fair Centre which will be built in Hanoi’s DongAnh district.

Receiving Vice President of theFrankfurt Book Fair Claudia Kaiser and German designers on December 13, thechairman briefed the guests on the “National Exhibition and Fair Centre” project and hoped they would help Hanoi design the centre’s mainbuilding, advise on the content of exhibitions and train human resources forthe centre.

Chung said Hanoi will makeefforts to expand the scale and quality of its booth at the Frankfurt Book Fairand wished to get advice from the organising board to make Hanoi’s booth moreappealing.

Claudia Kaiser praised Hanoi’sdevelopment in tourism and culture, adding that she was impressed with Hanoi’sbooth at the Frankfurt Book Fair this year.

She invited Chung to attend theevent in 2017 and said that President of the Frankfurt Book Fair Juergen Boosplans to visit Hanoi from February 28 to March 3 to discuss cooperation.

On the National Exhibition andFair Centre project, Claudia Kaiser affirmed Germany is willing to coordinatewith ministries and relevant agencies to implement the project, creating alandmark for the city.-VNA
