PM extends condolences to Indian counterpart over deadly stampede

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 4 sent a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi over casualties in the serious stampede in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh two days earlier.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 4 sent a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi over casualties in the serious stampede in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh two days earlier.

The Consular Section of the Vietnamese Embassy in India reported on July 4 that to date, there is no information indicating any Vietnamese citizens were among the casualties.

The stampede, which occurred during a religious gathering of Hindu devotees, resulted in the deaths of at least 120 people./.
