Over 320 films of various categories from 32 countries and territories will be screened at the third Hanoi International Film festival (HANIFF), from November 23 to 27.
The event is an opportunity to honour excellent movies and encourage new talents in motion picture industry, especially in Asia- Pacific region, while introducing outstanding films to the public, said Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and deputy head of the steering committee of the festival.
As part of the festival, a series of events will be held such as screening of foreign and Vietnamese outstanding movies, a exhibition and talks on film production.
An opening ceremony will take place on November 23.
At the closing ceremony on October 27, the organising board will present awards to movie categories, including best films, best directors, best actor and best actress, and other prizes.
Movies competing at the event will be screened at the National Cinema Centre, Kim Dong Cinema, August Cinema, CGV Vincom Centre and CGV Mipec Tower.-VNA
