SecretaryHai expressed thanks to the Netherlands in general and Rotterdam inparticular for their assistance to HCM City over the past time.He said he wishes that the two cites will boost cooperation in copingwith climate change.

Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb expressed his hopethat the two sides will cooperate in science-technology transfer to copewith sea level rise.

The same day, Chairman of the HCM CityPeople’s Committee Le Hoang Quan received Mayor of the PhilippinesCapital city of Manila Alfredo S. Lim.

The two cities’leaders agreed to further boost friendship and cooperation in educationand training, water supply, tourism, management of relics and culturalexchanges.

Alfredo S. Lim asked the two sides to boost exchangesof lecturers and students and said that Manila is ready to providescholarships for qualified students to study in two leading universitiesof Manila.-VNA
