HCM City (VNA) – A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s leaders and former officials offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh museum in the city on February 12 ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) 2018.

Attending the event were Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang, Chairman of the People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairwoman of the People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee To Thi Bich Chau and many former officials.

Showing their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to the national liberation, the city’s leaders promised to continue their efforts to build Ho Chi Minh City into a civilised and modern urban centre, making contributions to the national construction and development.

The same day, the delegation paid tribute to President Ton Duc Thang at the museum named after him.-VNA
