HCM City (VNA) - Real estate, architecture and interior and exteriordecoration companies will showcase their latest products at VietbuildInternational Exhibition to be held in HCM City from September 27 to October 1.

Thesecond Vietbuild to be held in the city this year will have 2,500 booths,nearly 100 more than last year, set up by nearly 900 domestic and foreigncompanies from 27 countries and territories, including Australia, the UnitedStates, Russia, France, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Thailand andSingapore.

They willshowcase property projects, electrical equipment, doors and accessories,internal and external decorative items, building materials, solar energysystems and others. Conferences and business meetings would be held on thesidelines.

NguyenDinh Hung, chairman of the Vietbuild Construction International ExhibitionOrganising Corporation, said the expo would be a good forum for local andinternational businesses to meet and tie up.

Participationby foreign companies in the exhibition is increasing, with more than 500 comingthis time. Nguyen Tran Nam, a former deputy construction minister and headof the exhibition organising board, called for greater participation byVietnamese firms to promote locally made building materials as well as internaland external decorative items.

Taxes on real estate based on time property is held not feasible: Justice Ministry

In their latest draft of a proposal to establish a new Law on Personal Income, to replace the current one, the MoF has proposed the Government impose taxes on income from real estate transactions based on the period of ownership – or holding period – which is the time between when an investor buys and sells a land or property.

Ministry proposes developing green e-commerce law

The MoIT's draft proposal to develop the Law on E-commerce will be included in the National Assembly's law and ordinance development programme in 2025 and will be presented to the NA for consideration and comments in October 2025, before being approved at a NA meeting in May 2026.
