People in northern areas experiencing floods should take precautions against the A/H1N1 flu, the Department of Preventive Medicine and Environment under the Health Ministry has warned.

It is necessary for people in the affected provinces, especially those in densely populated areas, to engage in environmental clean-up and take care of their health in order to cope with the flu, head of the department Nguyen Huy Nga, who is also the Health Ministry’s spokesman, said on July 6.


Nine more people were confirmed positive with A/H1N1 in Vietnam on July 6, bringing the total cases of the flu in the country to 235, the official added./.
