Helicopter carrying COVID-19 vaccine to Con Dao island

The Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company on August 1 deployed a Mi-172 helicopter carrying COVID-19 vaccines and medical equipment and supplies from Vung Tau airport to Con Dao island district in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau (VNA) – The Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company onAugust 1 deployed a Mi-172 helicopter carrying COVID-19 vaccines andmedical equipment and supplies from Vung Tau airport to Con Dao island districtin the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

This is the third time the company has transported COVID-19vaccines to the island district. The flight fulfilled the requirements of the plan,and ensured safety in all aspects.

This time, nearly 1,500 residents on Con Dao island will get vaccine jabs from August 2-11.

The district is striving to have 70 percent of its residentsvaccinated against COVID-19 to achieve community herd.

To date, Con Dao island has recorded no COVID-19 infections./.
