Beijing (VNA) – The implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and testament is a “miraculous weapon” helping Vietnam continuously harvest successes and victories in today’s era, said Ling Dequan, a researcher from the Xinhua News Agency’s Centre for World Affairs Studies.

Talking to the Vietnam News Agency, Ling, who is also former head of the Xinhua bureau in Vietnam, said President Ho Chi Minh’s testament is a summary of revolutionary experiences during his entire life. It gives profound teachings to those continuing the Vietnamese revolution and represents the essence of his ideology.

Ling considered Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style as an epitome of the creative application of the Marxism-Leninism to the Vietnamese revolution, a model for following generations, and a beacon for the revolutionary cause of Vietnam.

He described the late leader as “the soul” of the entire Vietnamese nation, who led the country’s Party, State, and people on the path towards national independence and socialism. His leadership helped build and maintain people’s confidence that Vietnam will successfully achieve the major goals and tasks set at the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

Commenting on the testament’s value, the expert perceived that it has diverse content. Right at the beginning, the President mentioned all aspects of the Party building and rectification, which demonstrated the top priority he gave to the building of a ruling Party.

In the Doi moi (Renewal) period, the CPV views socio-economic development as focal and the Party building and rectification as key. During national construction and development, it has always adhered to Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and testament. The significant achievements Vietnam has obtained in recent years are attributable to the CPV’s promotion of the studying and following of the President’s ideology, morality, and style, along with the enhancement of the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation and the combat against corruption and negative phenomena, according to Ling.

The issue of international solidarity in the testament of Ho Chi Minh, a brilliant soldier of the international communist and worker movement, remains relevant nowadays, he went on, adding that thanks to following the teachings, Vietnam will be able to create an international environment favourable for realising the industrialisation and modernisation targets and making new development miracles to walk abreast with powerful countries across the five continents as the leader wished./.
