Hue – Da Nang seaplane flights launched
Thua Thien – Hue (VNA) – Hai Au Aviation JSC launched the first seaplane flights between the ancient capital of Hue and its neighbouring city of Da Nang on April 26.
This is the
first time the two central coastal cities have been connected by the air route
of Hai Au company.
Visitors can admire the tombs of Nguyen Dynasty
(1802-1945) and the ancient imperial complex of Hue, along with the 80-km Tam
Giang lagoon, the longest of its kind in Southeast Asia, from the air.
In addition to the scheduled daily flights,
passengers can choose to take a 30-minute or 40-minute sightseeing flights in
Hue or Da Nang on 208B-EX Cessna Grand Caravan craft with a maximum of 12
passengers per trip.
Hue is home to five heritages recognised by
UNESCO, including the ancient citadel relic complex (World Cultural Heritage
site), Hue royal court music (intangible cultural heritage item), Nguyen
Dynasty’s wood blocks (documentary heritage item), Nguyen Dynasty’s royal
administrative documents (part of the Asia-Pacific Register of UNESCO’s Memory
of the World Programme), and literature on Hue royal architecture (documentary
heritage).
Meanwhile, Da Nang is famous for its beautiful sites,
especially beaches. Visitors can admire the natural wonders in Ba Na Hills,
explore the jungle on Son Tra Peninsula, and pray at Linh Ung Pagoda with
Vietnam’s highest Bodhisattva Statue at 67 metres.
In May 2019, Hai Au will launch the first
seaplane flights between Dong Hoi in the north-central coastal province of
Quang Binh and Da Nang city to serve tourists during the Quang Binh cave
festival in June 2019. The flight time is estimated about 60 minutes.
In the coming
time, Hai Au company plans to operate similar tours offering panoramic view of
the “central heritage road” from Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang to Hoi An
(Quang Nam province). This is expected to bring enjoyable experiences for
domestic and international tourists.-VNA
