Hungary is keen to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City to build a specialised tumour research centre in the city in the coming time.

State Secretary for Security Policy and International Cooperation of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Mikola Istvan made the proposal at a working session with Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang in the city on March 11.

He noted that Hungary is implementing a number of projects on water resources management and hospital construction in Vietnam .

Besides helping Vietnam to build tumour hospitals, Hungary is ready to help train the local medical staff, he added.

The city’s official affirmed Ho Chi Minh City hoped to increase partnership with Hungary in the treatment of tumour – which is a strong point of Hungary .

Mikola Istvan said Hungary wants to expand its relations with Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in particular in other fields such as science-technology and human resources training.

The Hungarian State has doubled its scholarship from 50 for Vietnamese students, he added.
