The meeting was co-chaired by Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs SaleumxayKommasith and his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj.
The meeting reviewed comprehensively the bilateral relations as well as theoperating cooperative programmes between the two countries.
Before attending the meeting, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj wasreceived by Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.
Swaraj stated that India will support Laos during its development cause and is willingto come up with preferential lending projects for Laos to developinfrastructure, agriculture, irrigation, information technology, humanresources, and other sectors.
Laos is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)and India is working to get the country involved in its Act East policy.
Sushma Swaraj and her entourage are in a three-day official visit toLaos from November 22.-VNA
