A big fire occurred in the traditional market Pasar Senen in the capital city of Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 19.

Hundreds of fire fighters and 50 fire trucks were mobilised to the scene. However, until the evening of the same day, the fire has yet to be extinguished. Some people suffered slight burns.
The fire took place in early morning from the ground-floor of the market and its cause is not clear.
Pasar Senen is a multi-floored market which was built since the colonialism of the Netherlands. The market caught fire many times before.-VNA
