Indonesia: Maritime economy in foreign policy

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Policy Analysis and Development Agency presented a book titled “Maritime economy in the foreign policy of Indonesia ” on April 14.

The book provides a brief overview of and suggestions to policymakers onforeign affairs in the country in order to realise the vision ofIndonesian President Joko Widodo to make Indonesia the world’s“maritime axis”.

Also on the occasion, the ministry held aworkshop on issues related to Indonesia ’s maritime economy andforeign affairs.

At the workshop, participants also discussedhow to take advantage of regional and multilateral cooperation tosupport Indonesia ’s vision of becoming the world’s maritime axis.-VNA
