Indonesian President Joko Widodo has revealed a plan to set up a national cyber agency (BCN), a move to enhance the country’s capability to fight against cyberspace attacks.

More details on the BCNestablishment will be discussed at a national cyber security symposiumheld on June 3-4 by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal andSecurity Affairs, the Ministry of Communications and InformationTechnology, and the National Resilience Institute, said Minister of thecoordinating ministry Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno.

Indonesia has beenthe target of a high number of cyber threats in recent years, accordingto Minister of Communications and Information Technology Rudiantara.-VNA
