The world’s most prestigious competition of the hospitality industry, the George Baptise Cup, ended in the former imperial city of Hue on May 30 with Kocemba Jacob from Denmark bringing home the first prize.

Ho Tuan Minh from host Vietnam took the second place and Favreau Guillaume from France ranked third.

The competition, initiated by the French Georges Baptise Association and first held in 1961, is organised every three years to honour outstanding trainees and artisans working in hotels and restaurants around the world.

This year competition attracted contestants from Luxembourg , Canada , Poland , Slovenia , Denmark , Ireland , the Netherlands , France , the Czech Republic , Japan and Vietnam./.
