An Israeli-Palestinian piano duo will perform in HCM City on November 4 and Hanoi a day later.
Israeli Yaron Kohlberg and Palestinian Bishara Haroni will play Fantasy for four hands by Schubert and pieces for two pianos by Mozart and Rachmaninov.
The pair met in Jerusalem to practise for a concert at the New Opera House in Oslo in 2008. Following this success they formed Duo Amal in the same year.
They have since performed in Europe, the US and Asia and also toured the Far East .
"Amal" in Hebrew means "hope". – That making music can "transcend political and national differences."
The concert is being organised by the Israeli embassy to pay tribute to late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin who was assassinated on November 4, 1995, at a rally in Tel Aviv in support of the Oslo Accord, the first face-to-face agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organisation./.VNA
