The Italian government will continue giving priority to developingeducation and healthcare, and expanding the Integrated Management ofLagoon Activities (IMOLA) project in Thua Thien – Hue province.
Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Lorenzo Angelon made the affirmationat a press briefing in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on Nov.19 to introduce Italian-funded projects in Vietnam.
Angelo also outlined projects under the Italian development cooperation programme in Vietnam’s central provinces.
The same day, the provincial People’s Committee and the ItalianEmbassy in Vietnam hosted a seminar on successes and challenges of thefirst and second phases of IMOLA project which has been funded by theItalian government since 2005.
The project aims tosupport livelihood to local fishermen through the sustainable managementof natural resources in the Tam Giang – Cau Hai lagoon./.
