Japan gives language lab to city university

Japanese Consulate General Mizuki Ikuo on Jan.21 cut the ribbon on a Japanese language study lab in HCM City University of Social Science and Humanities, using 67,632 USD funding from the Japanese Consulate.

The lab, which has48 sets of computers and headphones and microphones, would facilitate Japaneselanguage and culture studies for students, said Ikuo.

“The timing of theopening of this new lab is significant because we have just upgraded Japanesestudies into a faculty, with bachelor, master and doctoral curricula, from Asianstudies,” said the university’s rector Vo Van Sen./.
