Japan to collect details on second DPRK-USA summit

The Japanese government is working to collect detailed information related to the recently concluded second summit between US President Donald Trump and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has said.

Tokyo (VNA) – The Japanese government is working to collect detailedinformation related to the recently concluded second summit between US PresidentDonald Trump and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader KimJong-un, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has said.

In a press conference on February 28afternoon, Suga affirmed that Japan continues coordinating with the US in seekingsolutions to denuclearisation, ballistic missiles, and Japanese abductees.

Japan will maintain its close relationshipwith the US, he stressed.

Regarding a phone call between JapanesePrime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Trump, Suga stated that both sides arearranging an appropriate time for the phone call.

The second DPRK-USA Summit took place inHanoi on February 27-28, during which a number of issues were discussed, but nojoint statement was issued.-VNA
