Hanoi (VNA) – Politburo member and member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Secretariat Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on October 15 for a delegation of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) led by Tanaka Yu, member of the Standing Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the JCP Central Committee’s Secretariat.

Welcoming the delegation’s visit to attend the eighth theoretical exchange between the two parties, Chinh spoke highly of the fine development in their friendship and cooperation, and stressed the need and significance of intensifying exchanges for theoretical and practical work in each country.

Chinh, who is also Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Organisation Commission and President of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, expressed his belief that the JCP will gain more achievements in the implementation of the 27th Party Congress’s resolution and the Party’s credo, towards celebrations for its 100th founding anniversary in 2022.

Yu, in turn, showed his delight at the continuous development of the two parties’ relations over the past five decades.

According to him, the relationship has been consolidated and deepened through regular high-level meetings and visits, and the maintenance of information sharing and theoretical exchanges.

Earlier, the JCP delegation was received by Hoang Binh Quan, Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations.

During the meeting, the two officials agreed to step up coordination and support each other at international forums, thus contributing to international communist and worker movements for peace, stability, and social progress in the region and the world.–VNA
