Titled Fuji Matsuri, the two-day festival will recreatethe Wisteria Tunnel from the Kawachi Fuji Gardens, a famous tourismattraction in Japan where a similar festival takes place annually. Theflower is said to be that of eternal love.
The stage for art performance is designed as a 1,000-year-old wisteria tree from Japan.
Asmany as 300 amateur performers are taking part in activities tointroduce Japanese yosakoi (street dance) and cosplay, the art ofwearing costumes and accessories to represent a specific character inJapanese comics and animated films.
Visitors also have a chance to enjoy Japanese cuisine and buy souvenirs.-VNA
