Khanh Hoa: Over 200 women bestowed “Heroic Mother “title

An additional 203 mothers in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa whose husbands and children laid down their lives for national liberation have been honoured as “Vietnamese Heroic Mother”.

Among them, only 12 are alive and were able to receive the title at a ceremony held in Nha Trang city on October 21.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Chien Thang urged local authorities, organisations and individuals to take more care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids and those who contributed to the nation’s revolution.

As many as 859 mothers in Khanh Hoa have been recognised as Vietnamese heroic mothers so far.-VNA
