Lam Dong (VNA) – The first Congress of the Party Organisation of the central province of Lam Dong for the 2025–2030 tenure concluded on October 11, with 100% of delegates voting in favour of the draft resolution of the congress.
The resolution sets out key goals of building the clean and strong Party Organisation, leading comprehensive development based on stability as the foundation, socio-economic growth as the central task, and the happiness and prosperity of the people as the ultimate objective. By 2030, Lam Dong aims to become a fairly developed province and one of the region’s dynamic growth poles in the new era of the nation's rise.
The congress discussed and agreed on major objectives, tasks, and solutions. The targets include achieving an average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of 10 – 10.5% in 2025 – 2030; raising per capita GRDP to about 6,700 – 7,500 USD by 2030; and maintaining total social investment capital at 35 – 40% of GRDP. The local Human Development Index (HDI) is expected to reach 0.75, while poverty is to be basically eradicated by 2030, and forest coverage maintained at over 46.2%.
The congress also approved several key and investment-attracting projects for the 2025 – 2030 period, notably major irrigation reservoirs, dyke and embankment systems for climate adaptation, Son My I and II BOT power plants, bauxite mining and alumina–aluminum production complexes, and renewable energy projects, especially offshore wind power. Other priorities include the southern coastal economic zone and the provincial high-tech zone, among others.
At the event, the Congress's Presidium announced the Politburo’s decision assigning a delegation of 45 official and four alternate delegates from Lam Dong to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
In his closing remarks, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure, called on all officials, Party members, armed forces, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to uphold unity, patriotism, self-reliance, and the aspiration for prosperity.
He also urged the entire province to accelerate socio-economic development, maintain political stability, ensure national defence, security, and social order, and successfully implement the resolutions of the first provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress, striving to make Lam Dong a fairly developed province and a dynamic growth pole of the region by 2030./.
