Vientiane (VNA) – The 15th high-level meeting between the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) took place in Vientiane, Laos on February 7.
The LPRP delegation was led by Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith while the CPP delegation was headed by CPP President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
Both sides shared updates on the developments of their respective Parties and nations, discussed global and regional issues of mutual concern, and reviewed cooperation between the two Parties and States, with a special focus on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached at the previous meeting.
The leaders agreed to continue working closely together to further develop ties between the two Parties and States, aiming for even greater mutual benefits for their people.
They celebrated the successes of the meeting, considering it a significant milestone to foster the traditional friendship, comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership between the two Parties, States, and peoples.
Concluding the event, they witnessed the signing of several bilateral cooperation agreements./.
