At 9:30 am, an official welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese Government leadertook place solemnly at the Office of the Lao Prime Minister.
Over the past days, Lao newspapers have run numerous articles praising theVietnam-Laos relationship, affirming that the visit by Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc will create a new momentum for the two countries to deepen theirties.
The article of Pasaxon newspaper issued on April 26 wrote that PM Nguyen XuanPhuc’s official visit to Laos takes place when the two Parties, States andpeoples are actively preparing for activities marking the 55th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations and 40 years of the signing ofthe Vietnam-Laos Treaty on Amity and Cooperation.
It helps strengthen and expand the traditional friendship, special solidarityand comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, according to thearticle.
Meanwhile, the Lao Phatthana newspaper’s article wrote that the Vietnam-Laosspecial relationship has developed fruitfully in all spheres over the pasttime, with consolidated political-diplomatic ties and effective implementationof joint statements and high-level agreements reached by leaders of the twoParties and States.
The visit will boost the Vietnam-Laos traditional friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation in an intensive, practical andeffective manner.
“Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit will create a new momentum for theVietnam-Laos special relationship” is the title of an article run on Pathet Laonewspaper on April 26.
According to the article, Vietnam’s investment has greatly contributed toboosting Laos’ socio-economic development and creating jobs for locals. So far,408 Vietnamese projects with a total investment capital of 3.7 billion USD havebeen licensed in Laos.
Other newspapers of Laos such as Vientiane Mai and Vientiane Times alsofeatured the visit by PM Phuc and his wife.
In addition, the Lao National Radio and Television Stations spent much timecovering the visit, affirming it will further deepen the bilateral ties.-VNA
