Laos and Cambodia have agreed to finish their border demarcation work this year.

The agreement was reached at a meeting of the two countries’ foreign deputy ministers in the Lao province of Champasak last week.

The two counties have so far completed more than 80 percent of border demarcation work along their 535 km of shared border.

They also concurred in the building of 121 remaining markers, including 108 single markers and 13 double ones towards the common goal of a peaceful, secure and developed border line./.
