Laos highly values Vietnamese businesses’ help in promoting investmentcooperation between the two sides and carrying out social programmes inLaos.
These remarks were made by Vice Chairman of theLao National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane at a reception for avisiting delegation from the Economic Committee of Vietnam’s NationalAssembly (NA) led by its deputy head Nguyen Van Phuc in Vientiane, onJuly 22.
This assistance has helped Laos gain highgrowth, he said, affirming that Vietnam and Laos need to findappropriate measures to foster their comprehensive cooperation as hoped.
For his part, Phuc said the Vietnamese delegation’svisit from July 21-25 aims to enhance mutual cooperation between thetwo NA committees, learn about Laos’ experience in foreign investmentattraction, and promote Vietnamese businesses’ investment cooperation inthe neighbouring country.
He suggested Laos’ NA andcompetent agencies work closely with the Vietnamese side to furtherboost bilateral investment cooperation, thus contributing to fosteringthe sustainable development of the special friendship and solidarity,and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.-VNA
