Vietnam’s Defence Minister, General Phung Quang Thanh, received adelegation from the Laos Ministry of National Defence headed byLieutenant General Chansamone Channhalat, Deputy Defence Minister, inHanoi on Feb. 29.
At the reception, Thanh thankedthe Laotian Party, State and Ministry of National Defence for rewardingVietnam ’s Defence Ministry organisations and individuals. Heelaborated on the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos .
He said Vietnam will support proposals put forward byLaos Ministry of National Defence and help Laos to train up cadres,adding that Vietnam is willing to receive Laos Army recruits to studyand train in Vietnam.-VNA
