Lunar New Year greetings extended to Vietnamese expats in RoK, Venezuela

Seoul (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to theRepublic of Korea (RoK) Nguyen Vu Tung visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet)greetings to two Vietnamese-Korean families on February 1, the first day of theYear of Tiger.

He brought “banh chung” (square sticky rice cake) as presentsto families of Nguyen Ngoc Cam, former president of the association of Vietnamesepeople in the RoK, and Nguyen Thi Trinh, and offered lucky money totheir children.

Talking to the Korean husbands, Tung expressed his hope thatthe families will pay attention to educating the younger generations and enablethe children to access Vietnam’s culture and language.

He also expected the Vietnamese-Korean families will furthercontribute to developing the two countries’ relations and engage in celebrationsof the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties (December22, 1992 – 2022).

Previously on the New Year’s Eve, the Vietnamese diplomat hosteda gathering, connecting 100 different locations, to extend his best wishes to allVietnamese people living in the RoK. He briefed them on Vietnam’s politicaland socio-economic situation and the two nations’ strategic partnership lastyear.

In Venezuela, the Vietnamese Embassy also hosted a get-togetherfor staff of diplomatic missions and Vietnamese people living in the LatinAmerican country on the occasion of the Lunar New Year./.

Vietnam’s digital map updates 34 provincial-level administrative units

An 1:1,000,000-scale administrative map of Vietnam online and in digital *.pdf format will be released once the National Assembly’s Resolution on the reorganisation of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 takes effect in oder to promptly support the Prime Minister’s direction and administration, support state management by ministries, sectors, and localities; and meet requirements of organisations and individuals.
