Kuala Lumpur (VNA) - The Selayang Sessions Court of Malaysia on September 15 denied the bail request of a man accused of trafficking five Vietnamese women in August 2016.

Counter operator Teh Poh Kwei, 54, was accused of allegedly selling five Vietnamese women from the age 19-30 in Prima Sri Gombak, Kuala Lumpur.

Kwei denied the accusation and requested bail claiming he had to take care of his mother and four siblings.

The next trial will take place on September 19. Kwei faces 15 years in prison if found guilty.-VNA
