Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) estimated the sales of Malaysian-made products and services at the 18th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) to reel in 572 million RM (143 million USD).

The fair saw the participation of 58 Malaysian companies, offering food, beverage, and healthcare products.

A total of 2,574 business enquiries and more than 150 business meetings were arranged between Malaysian exhibitors with Chinese importers, distributors and wholesalers.

China has been Malaysia's largest trading partner for the 12th consecutive year since 2009, with bilateral trade between the sides accounting for 18.6 percent of Malaysia's total trade in 2020.

Between January and July this year, the bilateral trade grew by 29.8 percent from the same period last year to 233.4 billion RM./.
