Compared annually, the exports decreased 32 percent.
Thecommodity was mainly exported to China, accounting for 36.2 percent ofthe total export volume, and Germany with 16.3 percent.
Standard Malaysia rubber constituted over 92 percent of the country’s total exported rubber.
Meanwhile,Malaysia’s NR output in May dropped 11.3 percent annually to over38,900 tonnes but increased 8.6 compared to the previous month.
At end of May, NR stocks stood at 132,900 tonnes, 1.8 percent higher than the same period last year.
Together with Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, Malaysia is one of the world’s biggest NR producers.-VNA
