Russia’s media has widely covered Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Vietnam, and shared the view that the outlook for further mutually beneficial cooperation and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Russia is bright.

On November 7-8, news agencies including ITAR-TASS, Ria Novosti, Interfax, Radio Voice of Russia and many national television channels and newspapers highlighted every activity Medvedev had in Vietnam.

They mentioned to talks with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, the signing ceremonies of cooperation agreements between the two countries as well as meetings between the Russian leader and Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

They emphasised the visit’s contributions to further developing the traditional friendship and cooperation for mutual benefit, as well as the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia .

The media spoke highly of the signed cooperation agreements between the two countries, especially in energy and space, and the negotiations for a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.-VNA
