- Vietnamese President To Lam will pay state visits to Laos and Cambodia from July 11-13, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.

The visits will be made at the invitations of General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, and Cambodian King Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni. Read full story

– The Central Military Commission convened its 10th conference in Hanoi on July 8 to discuss and evaluate military and defence affairs in the first half of 2024 and deploy key tasks for the second half.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, could not attend the event in person due to personal reasons. – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hailed Malaysia as Vietnam’s major trade and investment partner at a reception in Hanoi on July 8 for Malaysian Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

- National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and a delegation from the NA Standing Committee paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien special national relic site in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, the central province of Nghe An on July 8.

– The US Navy’s 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge and US Coast Guard Cutter Waesche arrived at Cam Ranh International Port on July 8, starting a five-day visit to the south-central province of Khanh Hoa.

Leaders of the Naval Region 4 of the Vietnam People's Navy and Coast Guard Region 3, along with representatives of Khanh Hoa province and other Vietnamese agencies held a welcome ceremony for the visiting US crews. Read full story

- The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam co-chaired a policy dialogue conference in Hanoi on July 8 to discuss enhancing international cooperation and multi-sectoral coordination in circular economy in agriculture.
