-General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith has recounted the close comradeship with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and shared what he learned from the late Vietnamese leader.

- President To Lam on July 23 met the liaison board of veterans of the Parachute-Commando Division 305, towards celebrating the 70th traditional day of the division (August 30), the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th All People's Defence Day (December 22).
Division 305 was established on August 30, 1954, with the core being several major regiments and battalions which were relocated to the northern region from the battlefields in the North Central Highlands and mid-central regions.Read full story
-Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Luong Cuong hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 23 for Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo who came to say goodbye at the end of his tenure.
During the reception, Cuong thanked the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee for early sending condolences to the Party, State and people of Vietnam after Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong passed away. -Thailand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa on July 23 came to the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangkok to pay his last respect to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong who passed away on July 19.
Writing in the funeral book at the embassy, the minister wrote that General Secretary Trong will be remembered as a leader with firm will and a great mind, who has devoted his entire life to the development and prosperity of the Vietnamese country and people. -Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi held talks with Cuban Minister of Construction Rene Mesa Villafana in Hanoi on July 23, aiming to review the implementation of agreements on cooperation in construction in line with the minutes of the 41st meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Intergovernmental Committee signed in Cuba on April 15 and exchange contents that need to be promoted in the coming time.
