-President To Lam hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 3 for the new Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Ito Naoki, who has just begun his tenure.

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage on July 3 visited Samsung's semiconductor cluster in Gyeonggi province as part of his official visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK).

-Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse and entourage arrived in Hanoi late July 3, concluding a successful official visit to the Republic of Korea from June 30-July 3 at the invitation of RoK PM Han Duck Soo and his spouse.

PM Chinh engaged in 34 activities during the visit, including talks and meetings with his counterpart, President Yoon Seok Yeol and Speaker of the National Assembly of RoK Woo Won Shik.Read full story

-National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man held a working session with the standing board of the Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committee on July 3 to evaluate the southern province’s socio-economic performance in the first half and outline plans for the rest of the year.

The province reported a strong economic performance, boasting a growth rate of 7.76%. This economic expansion was coupled with a significant reduction in poverty, with the rate of poor households falling below the national average to just 0.4%.Read full story

- Ho Chi Minh City drew 198.82 million USD in foreign direct investment in the first half of this year, doubling the amount recorded in the same period last year, the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) told a press conference on July 3.

This growth was primarily driven by existing projects increasing their capital. Nine projects reported capital injections totaling 188.97 million USD, a threefold increase year-on-year. The Green Planet project led the way with a capital rise of 158 million USD.Read full story

-A full-day tour to Ninh Binh from Hanoi has been named among Top 10 Experiences in the world for 2024 by TripAvisor readers, according to the Tourism Department of the northern province of Ninh Binh.

The department said on July 3 that the world's largest travel guidance platform TripAdvisor has revealed its Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Things to Do 2024, and the "full-day Ninh Binh highlights tour from Hanoi" was on the list of Top 10 Experiences in the World.Read full story

-Representatives from ASEAN member states are meeting in Laos, the Chair of ASEAN in 2024, to share scaled-up and intensified national disease prevention, preparedness, detection and response measures.

The 18th ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting on Health Development (SOMHD) is taking place in Vientiane from July 1 to 5, focusing on the pending issues that need to be agreed in the field among ASEAN countries, ASEAN Plus Three and ASEAN – China, the Lao Ministry of Health said on July 3.Read full story/.
