During a meeting in Hanoi on June 24 with members of the 15th-tenure Young National Assembly Deputies Group on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, Lam called on young parliamentarians to immerse themselves at the grassroots level, especially in communes and wards, to pinpoint inefficiencies and outdated mechanisms. - The 15th National Assembly passed a resolution on special mechanisms to address inconsistencies arising from legal regulations, with 397 out of the 411 deputies present, or 83.05% of the total, voting in favour, during its ongoing 9th session in Hanoi on June 24.

The resolution, covering seven articles, delineates clear criteria, principles, procedures, and responsibilities for resolving problems caused by legal regulations. It notes that matters concerning human rights and citizens’ fundamental rights and obligations governed by law, the restriction of human rights and citizens' rights, crimes and punishments, judicial proceedings, and basic principles on apparatus organisation are not subject to the mechanisms stipulated in the resolution. Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung described the visits as particularly important and historic, taking place at a meaningful moment as Vietnam and India mark the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and just one month after the top leader of Vietnam assumed his new position. For Sri Lanka, this was the highest-level visit by a Vietnamese leader since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
