A northwestern tourism and food fair began the festival of Muong Lo culture and tourism and Mu Cang Chai terraced fields, an annual event in Yen Bai province, opened on Sept. 19.
The fair attracted 16 booths, eight of which featured tourism products of the northwestern region.
The event aims to promote the values of culture, culinary, natural resources and tourism in Nghia Lo-Muong Lo in particular and northwestern provinces in general, contributing to boosting trade links and investment cooperation among the localities.
On this occasion, a representative from the Ministry of Science and Technology granted a certificate to recognize Muong Lo bacon as a collective trademark.
The Muong Lo festival will run until Sept. 25.-VNA
