– The Ministry of Health has launched a communication campaign to promote the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic themed “Niem tin chien thang” (Confidence of Victory) with a series of communication activities calling the community to join hands in implementing measures against the pandemic.

After three weeks of launch, a music video titled “Vung tin Viet Nam” (We believe in Vietnam) - the song of the campaign jointly produced and uploaded on platforms, especially Sony, Youtube's Me Tub network distributed on international and Vietnamese music platforms, attracted nearly 3 million viewers at the main YouTube account, not to mention other media channels.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Health will continue coordinating with partners to implement communication activities to call on the community to fully implement measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The campaign, which runs from August 6 to September 30, has to date been halfway, with many practical and meaningful activities carried out.

The campaign devises documents on recommendations on pandemic prevention and control, including general recommendations with nine measures on disease prevention and control; nutrition recommendations for children under 2 years old during the pandemic; recommendations for pregnant women during the pandemic; and another on strengthening health during the pandemic with a 4-5-1 nutritional formula supplemented to daily meals.

The Ministry of Health guided the use of fabric masks and medical masks, guidance in case of showing symptoms like fever, cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties and other contents being carried out in line with the following stage.

The documents are built under forms of infographic, video clips, audio and uploaded on media channels, social networks like Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, Lotus, Gapo, Youtube, and the national data system.

Many artists, singers, actors, footballers, and KOLs have responded to the campaign’s messages.

They are singers Min, Erik, defender of the national football team Bui Tien Dung, Miss Do My Linh, Miss H’H Nie, Miss Tran Tieu Vy, Miss Luong Thuy Linh, runner-up Nguyen Ha Kieu Loan, music composer Khac Hung, dancer Quang Dang, artist Ha Le, singer Pham Minh Thanh, Fashionista Chau Bui, among others.

They have changed their avatar in response to the campaign, making the community to follow. After a week of launch, dozens of thousands of people changed their Facebook and Lotus avatar frames, and especially more than 2.4 million Zalo user changed their Zalo avatar frame, while the ministry’s Zalo account has six million followers.

Footballers Bui Tien Dung made a video clip calling on the community to follow the ministry’s nine measures on COVID-19 prevention and control in the new situation.

Acting Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said the campaign was launched in line with the evolution of the pandemic in the new period.

"With the campaign, the ministry wishes to call on all Vietnamese people, especially youths, to raise awareness and fully implement measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We hope the campaign will motivate people to dedicate, share and spread love to all classes to join hands to fight off the pandemic.

"Every citizen, be a soldier on the pandemic prevention and control front. Unite, together we will conquer this plague," said Long.

Besides, the Ministry of Health also launched a photo collection with the message “You’re still beautiful when wearing face masks”.

Many celebrities in the fields of art, cinema, and football joined the collection to encourage the community to regularly wear face masks to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Head of the ministry’s department for communication and emulation Nguyen Dinh Anh said wearing face masks when going out and keeping physical distance are simple but effective measures against COVID-19./.
