According to a statement by the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Culture of Myanmar, the decision is made after the country has partially controlled COVID-19 outbreaks thanks to effective control and treatment measures.
Those who go to temples must follow pandemic prevention guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
Meanwhile, the government of Malaysia on February 8 issued a new ministerial order which is enforced on February 9 until August 1.
Accordingly, cabinet ministers who return from any official visit abroad are required to undergo medical observation for three days or surveillance until they can be discharged without danger to the public.
The order was developed under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act and approved by Malaysian Health Minister Adham Baba.
However, Malaysians returning from abroad are required to be on quarantine for 10 days if they have not had a COVID-19 test./.
