National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met voters in Tien Lang district, the northern city of Hai Phong via videoconference on October 9, ahead of the second session of the 15th legislature.

Hai Phong (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met voters in Tien Lang district, the northern city of Hai Phong via videoconferenceon October 9, ahead of the second session of the 15th legislature.

At the event, Hue informed voters about the outstanding resultsof the 15th NA’s first session, and preparations for the second one.

The top legislator said that at the upcoming session, the Government will make a report on the results of COVID-19 prevention and control over the past time and future solutions.

The NA will issue an overall strategy from the central to local level based on scientific data to offer scenarios and solutions to the pandemic, as well as look into a master plan on post-pandemic economic, social, educational, medical and cultural recovery.

In the near future, the NA Standing Committee will continue issuingpolicies to offer tax exemption, reduction and payment delay in support ofresidents and firms amid difficulties, he added.

Voters at the event also spoke highly of the Party and State’s soundleadership, the NA’s flexibility and responsibility, and the active involvementof the entire political system, agencies and localities in fulfillingthe dual goals of fighting the pandemic, and restoring socio-economic developmentand ensuring national defence-security over the past time.

The same day, the NA Chairman also met with voters in the city's Hong Bang district./.
