On the occasion of presenting hisletter of credential to the Namibian President in Windhoek onNovember 27, Ambassador Le Huy Hoang affirmed the desire anddetermination of the Vietnamese Government and people to unceasinglystrengthen the traditional friendly relationship with Namibia.
Hoang pledged to work to further the all-around ties between the twocountries, especially in economy, trade, agriculture and aquaculture,during his working term.
For his part, President Pohambaexpressed deep impression about his recent State visit to Vietnam,when he saw with his own eyes the achievements Vietnamese people havemade during their Doi moi (renewal) and development cause.
Hepromised that Namibia will create every possible condition forVietnamese investors and products to enter its market and Africa’smarket, adding that he hopes both countries will continue implementingthe joint projects such as the tripartite cooperation model onaquaculture funded by the Food Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
Earlier, Ambassador Hoang met with Namibian Foreign Minister NetumboNandi-Ndaitwah to discuss ways to boost the political-diplomatic tiesbetween the two countries.
Minister Netumbo suggested thatVietnam and Namibia should continue coordinating closely at the UnitedNation Human Rights Councils (UNHCR), in which both countries aremembers for the 2014-2016 tenure, as well as at other internationalforums.-VNA
