Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu on September 18 received a delegation from the Bangladeshi parliament’s Standing Committee on Ministry of Administration.
Vice Chairman Luu said that the visit will contribute to increasing the exchange of delegations between specialised committees of the two countries’ legislative bodies.
He affirmed Vietnam always treasured the relationship with traditional friends, including Bangladesh and welcomed Bangladesh to promote diverse and effective cooperation with Southeast Asian countries and the ASEAN Community, contributing to connecting the two regions of South Asia and Southeast Asia.
The NA Vice Chairman also recommended that the two sides should boost cooperation at international parliament forums, especially the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Ashequr Rahman, head of the Bangladeshi delegation, informed Vice Chairman Luu of the effective working sessions between his delegation and the Vietnamese NA’s Committee on Laws as well as Vietnamese governmental agencies, which focused on personnel matters in public agencies and administrative procedure reforms.
He wished the two sides to continue sharing experience on parliamentary activities and boosting cooperation in all fields.-VNA
