National Assembly’s fourth session continues in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly deputies listened to a report on feasibility study for a project on land reclamation, compensation and resettlement at Long Thanh international airport and discussed the draft revised Law on Fisheries on October 27 during their ongoing fourth session in Hanoi.

Under the chair of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Transport Minister Nguyen Van The presented a feasibility study report on a project on land reclamation, compensation and resettlement at Long Thanh international airport in southern Dong Nai province.

Head of the NA’s Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh delivered the review of the above report.

The legislators later discussed in groups the draft amended Competition Law and the report.

In the afternoon, member of the NA Standing Committee and head of the NA’s Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Phan Xuan Dung presented a report on acquiring feedback on the drafted revised Law on Fisheries.

Lawmakers gave their opinions on the State policies on fisheries activities, exploitation and protection of fishery stock, fund for fishery stock protection and development, land lease for aquaculture, among others.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong also provided more information about issues raised by legislators.

On October 30, the NA will convene a plenary session to discuss law enforcement in the reform of State administrative apparatus for 2011-2016, which will be live broadcast nationwide.-VNA
