The three-day congress themed “Unity, Creativity, Integration and Development” marks the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU)’s attempts to enhance the role of women in society and make the most of their potential and creativeness to contribute to the national industrialisation and modernization process.
Almost 1,000 delegates representing tens of millions of women nationwide will attend the congress.
The congress will review women’s movements and activities of the VWU during its 2007 – 2012 term as well as its achievements and directions for the next five-year term.
The congress will also elect the VWU’s Executive Committee for the 2012-2017 term, adopt the amended and supplemented VWU regulations and honour individuals and branches on their achievements during the last term.-VNA
